I lost the feeling in my toes

I had a spinal with my last birth. The doctors could not seem to do it right and had to redo it 3 times. Ever since then I have little feeling in my pointer toe on both feet. I went to my doctor today and he told me it is becuse I wear flip flops. The man did not even touch my feet. The problem gets worse when you touch just below either of the effected toes and if I tap my foot. I cry at the thoght of all of this
