I was wondering if anyone is experiencing anything similar or would have any idea what is wrong with me.

I'm 26, female. Here are a few facts about me :
- I can't tolerate birth control pills ( I throw them up )
- I used to suffer from sleep apnea
- At 24 y.o. I had a severe tonsil infection and had UPPP surgery
and tests have shown that I don't suffer from sleep apnea since then.

Here's what happening to me :

Started having my period at the age of 12. Had no pms at that time whatsoever. At the age of 14, I'd have severe cramps on the first day of my period. Since then, the list of symptoms kept getting longer and I have now been diagnosed with severe pmdd.
Mostly due to stress and pmdd lasting longer and longer, I have been diagnosed with depression last december. I have been taking Effexor and Wellbutrin since then. My mood is great til I get my period or sometimes during ovulation period, where I can get severe mood swings. (I can even get paranoid or aggressive, which is not at all in my nature)
I have been getting more and more tired and often need to sleep more than 12 hours a day to even function. (Sleep apnea has been ruled out)
I noticed that since a couple of months, I have been losing a lot of hair.
Even though I'm losing hair, I am getting a lot of facial hair, specially in the chin / neck area.
I often have episodes where my legs or sometimes my body feel extremely cold, I start to feel feverish and then start to feel extremely tired and can barely keep my eyes opened.
When I have my period, I sometimes barely bleed. Other times, I bleed so much that It can get through tampons, pads and even clothes in an hour or two.
I had a urinary tract infection in january and hade to take Cipro. About 2 days after starting the antibiotics, I got extremely sleepy. I thought it was the side effects of the medication. I was lethargic for about a week then got a bit better. (I could swear this has happened to me in the past)
I had a small cold 3 weeks ago, barely coughed for a day, then started to be lethargic again. I'm still really tired right now.
I sometimes have some clear, bitter fluid coming out of my breasts. (Both of them, don't think it's bloody)
When I sleep, I often suffer some real bad aches in my hips. It wakes me up.
It feels like it's burning (or almost like a bruise) if anyone presses anywhere on my body where there's a nerve. Specially in my legs, but also in my arms and back.TSH and antibodies are normal ( FT3 and FT4 are to be determined soon). My BMI is around 29 right now. (I gained weight since being on Effexor) And I usually eat healthy. I have to admit I have got a caffeine addiction, and drink a lot of diet pepsi. No alcohol, no drugs, no cigarettes, no other prescription drugs than effexor and wellbutrin.

I'd appreciate any ideas / input. Thank you.

  • I have an underactive thyroid, and it sounds very like a lot of symptoms I got. Definetyly worth asking your Dr's to check for this.

  • I'm seeing a gynecologist next month to rule out PCOS. They did check for antibodies and the test came back normal, they are however testing for free t3/t4.
