Hi, I have had some medical issues for several years. I have had a lot of pain in my left abdominal area and left lower back area. I have had several surgeries to try to correct the issue. A year ago I went to a doctor at on hospital who began a series of test and determined I had hip issue's. I was scheduled for surgery April 26th of this year to have a number of things taken care of with my hip. He stated that I had a impingement as well as a liberal tear. Also that my IT band needed to be shortened and my rotators cuff needed some work as well. Three days before my surgery that was a miss communication with my surgeon and needless to say due to so unfortunate events the surgery was canceled and I wanted another doctor. I was referred to another doctor who informed as well her saw the impingement and the liberal tear but he didn't specialize in that type of surgery and only two doctor's in Michigan did, so he referred me another doctor. I went to see this other doctor pretty much thinking this was a cut and dry case and I could get my surgery re-scheduled with him and I would be back to new in no time. I brought him a number of x-rays and the MRI I had as well as the medical records from the first doctor. After his own series of x-rays and looking at the information I brought he informed me that the 1st doctor was out of him mind. He stated that there was nothing showing any of those issue's as well as the surgery the doctor was originally was to preform was a contradiction of it self. He wants to but me through all the same test as well as physical therapy and injection shots all over again before he would even considered anything was wrong with me or any type of surgery.
Here I am now with two doctor's, the only two in Michigan that supposedly specialize in the type of surgery and now there opinion is 180% different from each other. I am at a loss of what to do or who to believe. To do the test and treatments all over again will take months as well as a LOT of pain. This is something I don't know if I should do or if I even can do again. I would really like a thirds persons opinion but I am not even sure were to turn to to get that.
I know this is a extremal long email but if there is any help or suggestions you can make I would greatly appreciate it. My husband and I are extremal frustrated. I am personally devastated. I was hopping and praying by the end of this summer I was going to be able to play tag with my kids and now I am still having issue's with sitting, standing and just a simple walk around the block.
Thank you for your time in reading this. If anyone has any suggestions or can lead me in a direction my whole family would be very happy! :)
