On Monday I started feelling like I was being choked, I thought it was the shirt that I was wearing (it was kinda tight around the neck, but this has been going on for 3 days now. There are times when I run my fingers down my neck and I can't feel my Adam's Apple...which is very odd since I have always had a noticable Adam's Apple. I am starting to get freaked out, I dont have a sore throat, I dont have any swelling in my throat, and I cant find anything online that describes my feeling. The only symptom I have is the feeling of a lump in my throat, and I know the lump is my Adam's Apple....What is causing this??? Please help!!

  • A few things come to mind. What you describe is called "globus sensation." Anxiety, which is very common. Gall bladder disease, which can cause this feeling. Very rare, hereditary angioedema.
