I am a 24 yr. old male. I began having mild lower back pain a few years ago. About a year ago the pain became more consistent. I went to a specialist and got x-rays and a MRI. I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disorder (L4-S5??). I was given an anti-inflammatory and a pain medication, then referred to physical therapy and got three rounds of cortisone injections. None of this seemed to help me at all. Now, about six months later, I have developed hip pain and numbness in my legs. I have lost weight- from 145 to 125 or so. I have also experienced shooting pain down my left leg that made my leg give out on me completely while just standing still. I went back to the specialist and was diagnosed with chronic pain and referred to a chronic pain facility. I occasionally have terrible pain in my right ribcage. My primary care physician has now diagnosed me with sciatica and says that I am losing sensation and strength in my legs. Now i am noticing that my lymph nodes in the crease of my leg/torso hurt. They are hard, but don't seem to be too big. No pain medication or remedies help at all. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
