I"m a sixteen year old girl and i have a lump on my left breast i was told it is fibroadenoma. the doctor told me it should be removed but my parents are not very sure of the idea as the doctors here in Tanzania are not qualified.
i went for a breast aultrasound and this is my report:

-There is a hypoechoic non shadowing lesion that is well outlined with smooth margins in the left upper outer quadrant at 1 o'clock position. It measures 2.77 x 1.73 x 2.59cm. This is suggestive of fibroadenoma.
-The rest of the left breast and the entire right breast are normal.
-No cystic or solid mass to suggest malignancy.
-No axillary.

conclusion:
- features of fibroadenoma left breast upper outer quadrant.

The doctor said that it should be removed... my parents do not agree as they are worried about it. i would like you to help me on what to do.

thanks.
