Hi, I'm 18 years old, have been sick for a couple of years. Well a few months back my doctor had tested my strep titer levels, they were really high, so he retested again every few months and they remained the same, he had been ruling out if it was just high from recovering from something like strep throat. Well theyre still high at 960 so he put me on a high dose of pennicilin. He said he has had a few patients like me who had the same problem and felt better after 6 months after taking pennicilin. Well.. I've been taking it about a month but also went off zoloft a couple months ago, because I didn't want to be on it, I've been on and off it for years, my pediatrician insists on putting me on it because ive been sick so long. Well I never felt any better of different when I was off it before, bet lately I've felt like a bit better. I feel like I have a clearer mind, able to concentrate more, and I had these intense feelings of pressure in my head, but that was going on even before I went on it. But it's settled down a lot, I'm not sure if this is from taking penniclin, or from going off zoloft. I'll be furious if zoloft was making me have those pressure feelings because I havnt been able to do school work for over a year, but the thing is I went on zoloft when I was 16 and went off it for six months and I didnt feel any different on or off. My doctor said there isnt enough information on what high strep titers can do if it is causing my head pressure or dizziness, but this makes more sense to me. Well, any thoughts? Thankyou I don't really understand aso titer levels, my doctor has been really unclear about it.
ps. I had an echocardiogram, im not sure if I'm spelling that right, to rule out rheumatic fever and they said the results are normal. But when I sit down or rise I get a sharp pain in my heart and I feel like my heart skips a few beats. And I also get rapid heart beat when climbing the stairsbad pains in my chest between breasts. Should I be looking more into this?
