I have constant abdominal pain for last 15 years or so. Plus i have a social problems. My family maltreats me and they are very mean towards me. I am working my way thorugh university and do not have much money for expensive tests. The pain is constant and it persists in the middle abdomen and goes around the sides flanks and around the kidney area with some rare suffocating cramps. My family were opposed to the helping me find any treatment and wanted me to die as they want me to leave their house. So the problem got ignored all these years. The social problem and the medical one have ruined my life. I was once a good pre med student and was working as much as 16 hours a day but ever since this abdomen problem came on I cannot work hard. Previously i have had this DNS problem which was relieved after an operation. The abdominal problem has completely undermined my life and my ability to combat the situation. Doctors here say it is IBS purely upon the premise that the problem has persisted for many years now. I doubt it since i do not have any bowel dysfunction. its pain in abdomen around the anal area and around the kidneys. I will be graduating in 3 months time and hope fully will get a job and find more money for the treatment. My family did not give me any money for the treatment and infact theydo not accept in the first place that i was ill. I am struck between the society , the family and the health problem what do i do. I cant even work hard now as I was doing years back. I need this medical problem fixed if i am to combat the social problems.

  • First of all, ditch the toxic family. Get them out of your life NOW. Does your school have a student health program? Focus on your graduation and how to de-stress your life. Try some yoga. Is it possible your family might have tried to harm you? Don't eat or drink anything from them. Even if you come from a country where family is important, remove yourself from them. After graduation, leave town. Get some psychiatric help. Surround yourself with true friends as they are your family now.

  • Appendicitis, Diverticulitis, Gallbladder Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Conditions of the Reproductive System, can all cause abdominal pain. not sure if thats all of the things that cause abdominal pain but you can google them and find some info about them, treatment ect.. maybe you will find one of these diseases to fit the symptoms you are gonig through.
