please help me. i had severe bronchitis all winter, for five months, and it was so severe that i couldn't even walk up and down the stairs. i think the bronchitis is gone now, but i am still having agonizing pain under my shoulder blades when i breathe. i think it is a complication with bronchitis, because i had it for so very long. the pain developed during my bout with bronchitis, but even though the rest of the symptoms have cleared up, i am still in agony when i try to take a deep breath. the pain worsens during the day, and it is unbearable at night. i can't take a deep breath because it hurts terribly, and sometimes i hear a crackling or a pop when i try to inhale deeply. the doctors here have no idea, even though i've had three breathing tests (which were inconclusive)...i have been left to figure this out on my own. chest x-rays taken months ago were fine. could it be inflammation from bronchitis? pleurisy? i don't know what to do. it's not getting any better, and i'm not treating it, so it won't get any better. i lost my job because i've been sick for months...i am in a terrible situation. i have always been very active, i am very fit...but i haven't been able to engage in any physical activity in months now...because it leaves me in pain, and struggling to draw a deep breath. i feel that i can't take a deep breath because it just hurts too much...a constant aching pain that is sometimes sharp, and worsens as the day goes on, it worsens intensely with breathing, especially deep breathing. i am very frustrated and i feel very alone. please help me.
also, it doesn't feel like muscle pain, because when i press on the area under my shoulders, it doesn't hurt like inflamed muscles would. i'm not straining myself, i've been bedridden for months now. i'm healthy and active...being immobilized these last months has been a nightmare...this is ruining my life.
