For approx 2 years I have had symptoms which relate to Wheat Resistance and recently my doctor said I am insulin resistant.

I have cut out all starch and sugar from my diet and still find that I have a cloudy head and can't concentrate very well. I also feel like I am generally unhappy and when at home can't get motivated to do anything. If i eat starchy or sugar related foods, I seem to get much worse and it is accompanied with medium to strong headaches.

I just have no other ideas what could be causing this. I never used to feel like this until I got pregnant a bit over 2 years ago.

I just want to feel like I can concentrate, be happier and have more energy without the headaches.

Help please...

  • maybe on top of having food issues.. you could have depression. Depression is well known for causing a lack of motivation and you do say you are unhappy. It may also cloud ones thinking making concentration harder.

  • I just came across your post again and recently a specialist thought I had insulin resistance so I was put on a diet to stop it while waiting for test results to come back. I notice you say you cut out all sugar and starches. I was just wondering what you actually meant by all sugars? Did you include cutting out fruit too? My specialist told me to cut out fruit too as that is high in sugars eg fructose.
