Alright, so for the past few weeks I've had severe joint pain that consists of mainly my wrists and hands. My joints, wrists especially, tend to pop, a LOT. When I went to my chiropractor, she said that the joints ( in my wrist ) aren't moving correctly. I was checked for thyroid problems this Tuesday, the next day the doctor called. "One thing is a little elevated, though looking at everything, everything seems about normal," was all he said. (sadly he didn't give me any numbers) We checked for thyroid as I have maybe 90% of the symptoms! Palpitations, heat intolerance, nervousness, insomnia, fatigue, high blood pressure, light sensitivity, weakness, itching, heartbeat sensations puffy face, headache, ect. As I've already listed as a symptom that i have is itching. This started in August, when I was in France for a few weeks. It happens especially at night, though sometimes during the day; I just get so itchy, all over! I literally scratch myself until I am bleeding. Are there other things with the same symptoms of hyperthyroidism? Any thoughts on what I may have? What should I do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated! **Sorry this was so long, I just need to know that I'm not going mental, and that I might actually have something**

  • Hopefully this helps: recently I had many blood tests done. The doctors found that I have a different thyroid problem. Check with your doctors if you have been tested for Hashimoto Thyroiditis. I too have joint pain and a symptom of Hashimoto is joint pain. Please check you have this! All I need to do is have a blood test done every 6 months to see if my thyroid level is in balance. If it's out of balance, a pill is prescribed. Here's a credible website for you to look at: http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/hashimoto-thyroiditis.cfm
