I have had for over a year a huge distorted stomach. It started just growing and has got bigger and bigger. The usual story - I have had test after test and ultra sound which ruled out fluid retention. I mean it llooks like I am 6-7 months pregnant. I'm a bit "puffy" all over, like my face is puffy and I can't wear rings as fingers are puffy. For a year no doctor general or hospital can find the cause. The only thing diagnosed is a fatty liver due to prescription medications/alcohol intake. I cant handle just wearing tracksuit pants anymore, my back aches, like i'm pregnant with all the weight at the stomach? Anyone any feedback or suggestions to check will be a great help. Thanks

  • Abdominal fluid retention is common with an unhappy liver, and this is where I would start if I were you... PPC (polyenylphosphatidylcholine). Brand names PhosChol, HepatoPro, and Essentiale Forte (in Europe) will fix your fatty liver and protect against damage from alcohol and medications better than anything else you're likely to find... European doctors have been treating liver disease with PPC for decades and American doctors are only now starting to catch on. Please google around on the research being done with polyenylphosphatidylcholine regarding fatty liver. I think you'll be impressed. SAM-e is another supplement you might look into, but PPC helps your body produce its own SAM-e so if you're taking PPC you probably wouldn't need additional SAM-e. Good Luck and GodSpeed

That search lead to other supplements and impressive informative information (as google does) Shall be ordering, do you know if the capsules or the concentrate is a better option?Thank you

  • ;) Hi, I too have your problem, as well as the fatty liver. However, I discovered that I am unable to tolerate milk products without lactase pills, and I am allergic to gluten, which is flour. EVERY time I eat flour, my stomach will grow to a huge size, and my bowel contents will simply stop where it sits, and expand with gas and more gas, and more gas. It becomes extremely painful, so painful that it brings tears to your eyes. I try enemas, and to some degree that will help. However, the only thing that really helps is to STOP eating the flour all together, stop eating milk product unless I have the lactase pills, and to use a dietary enzyme pill to help me digest my food better. I use Digest Gold, which is very pricey. THIS alone has helped me with the stomach problems that you are referring to. One other thing, I also have to take threelac, which is a probiotic, because of all the antibiotics that I have been on. The antibiotics have destroyed my good bacteria, thus bad bacteria -Candida http://www.holistichelp.net/candida.html, was created. Doctors call all of the above Irritated Bowel Syndrome. Right. It is irritated, as are we. However, if you have ever gone out to eat and needed a new pair of jeans to wear OUT of the restaurant ... then you know what we are talking about. THAT is how bad it can be. Your abdomen can become so swollen, that you indeed look 7 months pregnant within one hour. It is horrible, and on top of how it looks, believe me when I say that it hurts. So, a gluten test is something you should ask your Doctor about, as well as being tested for Candida. I hope that you get better. I understand. I do.

I'm sure both are fine. I'd hate to get the liquid and find out it was gross to swallow. That stuff is kind of expensive.
