For the past 2 years i have had a very hot and red face, pretty much all the time, the only time is seems to go away is when i'm sleeping, and soon returns after I'm up and about
Nothing seems to trigger it or make it worse, it's just always there.. I notice when i get out of a hot shower, it seems to be almost white again, but after 10 mins in the washroom it is back again.

It is very embarrassing, people ask me everyday why I look so sunburned, it has killed my confidence level at bars, and other outings when people keep asking me about it.

I do take pills for anxiety, but the red face had started before i was taking the pills.. I really dont know what to do about this, i notice that in the winter the red face is slightly lesser, but in the summer i apply sunblock all the time, but seems to do no good.

Any help would be great

  • i just asked my doc to refer me to some kind of specialist as i get a red face and I am sick to death of it. I am not an exceptionally vain person, but it makes me feel so ugly when i'm red and i've noticed my self esteem has plummeted. Other than the redness, I have pretty good skin and don't want to have to wear foundation everyday to cover it up or prevent the redness from showing when it does occur. i wonder if it has anything to do with anxiety, as I too am on medication for it, but had this problem way before I was put on them.

  • Do you have any other symptoms, or just the redness?
