I need help trying find out why my son(11) is sick. He has had on going stomach problems that have intensified over the past 5 months. He has had several tests about 4 years ago and they found nothing. His stomach problems have come back even stronger. Just today they found out that he has a molar which is still under the bone, it has not even come in yet and it is completely hollow on top not in the roots. An xray 5 months ago shows it was solid. I have to believe this is related to his stomach pain. He recently had an upper gi, which showed nothing. And 4 years ago he was scoped and had all kinds of blood tests done. His stomach pain is real and not in his head. Can anyone tell me why a healthy tooth would hollow out before it's even broken the gum line? Could this be related to his stomach problems?

  • Maybe, if he has malabsorption (inability to digest food properly) or celiac disease. Has he been tested for these issues? He could be malnourished, which could affect bone structures & teeth.
