Hip pain

I am a 32 year old active female. Recently, in the past 6 months I have noticed that I get hip pain, more prominently when I cross my legs or sleep in the foetal position. The pain is localized, rates 3 to 4/10 in intensity. It can occur in both hips. The pain can last for hours. It can create stiffness when I first get up from a sitting/lying position.
Has this ever happened to anyone?
