I am 25 and I started having hip pain when I was 2 months pregnant. It was so bad at times that I wouldnt be able to walk. I would have to crawl to the bathroom. I had my son 8 months ago and I still have pain in my hips and now its starting to hurt my lower back. I get pins & needles sensation in my legs a lot. Any ideas?

  • i wish i was more sure of what you mean by hip:do you mean thejoint at the top of your femur?or the gneral buttock area biased to the affected side?is the pain constant?made worse by standing?what gives relief,if anything?where inthe leg do you experience tingling?is the symptom tending to remain in the same area,or is it migrating in any way?is the whole situation getting worse?at what rate?please reply.

  • Please try acupuncture to help with your hip pain. To find one near you log on to www.acufinder.com. and type in your zip code. This is incredibly helpful! DOM

  • There is pain at the top of my femur. Also it hurts where the sacroiliac joint is. The pain is on both left and right sides. I also believe I broke my tailbone during labor, Which is still sore. I always hurt. Some days are better than others. Usually its worse if I stand for awhile (1hr). The pain has been pretty bad the last few nights so I take some Ibprofien to get to sleep. Somtimes my hips will pop when I do stuff like getting out of the car. When the pain is at its worse it will radiate all the down my legs. my legs fall asleep all lot easier than they used to but that part isn't that bad. I have lost all my extra fat from being pregnant.

  • Your body could be depleted of calcium from the pregnancy. Make sure you take it along with magesium and digestive enzymes (rainbow light makes a product called "everyday calcium" which is very good). You might want to consider an all around natural multi-vitamin as well

  • Request an MRI of the affected hip and your spine.

  • I had sciatica when I was pregnant and it sounds like what you described. It is very painful. I went to the chiropractor and that helped. Also, I always thought heat would help, but he actually told me to ice it. I also soaked in warm bath when it was really painful. Good luck.
