I am 26 years old and have been living in Prague for the past 3 years. Of these 2 years I have been sick and no doctor here has been able to help me. I have had only the following three symptoms the past three years: extreme fatigue, extreme muscle pain, and occasionally swollen glands. After the 30 or so blood tests that i have done, the only one that is positive is a high ASO. one year ago it was 480, 6 months ago 700 and now it is 900. This is the only positive test they have found. However, throat and nose cultures show no strep in the throat or nose. I have had all types of medicines against immunity and nothing ( i know my immunity is fine as I never have colds or the flu). I have had 2 anti-biotics: augmentin, which did nothing and a wide spectrum antibiotic: deoxymikoin (european name) the deoxymikoin helped me a lot. within 1 day I felt 80% better. but after 3 weeks on the drug, the symptoms immediately came back when i was off.

I think this is a sign that its not chronic fatigue syndrome. no antibiotics would have helped me.

anyways, i really could use some help. I dont have a fever, no EB virus, no lime disease. just this high ASO and nothing else. No other positive tests. I really could use any suggestions as the doctors here dont seem to be so up to par on medicine
