Herpes, or something else?

About a month ago I had a few sexual encounters with someone over a short span of time. Little more than a week later, I started developing what doctors diagnosed as Thrush and Herpes sores on my *****, something I've never seen before. I got medication for it, and it eventually cleared up. I had my blood, urine and swab sample taken from me (although they said the sore was healing and swab might not be viable). A few weeks later, I got a piece of paper that said I had the HSV-1 antibodies in my immune system. I confronted (nicely) the girl whom I had apparently contracted the herpes from and she seemed surprised, flustered and hysterical at the time. A few days later, she told me that she had cold sores in her mouth, but hadn't had one for years and was told they weren't contagious.

This is what I don't understand. Despite us kissing a lot, I never had sores in my mouth. But because of oral, it managed to outbreak on my *****? After a while of it being cleared up, I never got an outbreak there or my mouth, but started developing what seems to be herpes blisters on my left arm. At first I thought it was water blisters (after a bit of research) from when I got sunburnt, and that it's only starting to develop now, but it's been three weeks out of the sun and all the prior effects of sunburn had gone away. These blisters that formed on my arm are really, really easy to break open with clear liquid inside. They're not in clusters, but as single blisters a little less than finger-length away from each other; and are a little smaller than pencil-base in diameter. They're not painful when broken open, nor when they're open (I don't try to purposely break them open).

I have eczema, but never seen something like this before.

I plan to get a re-test done, but since the apparent herpes sores has switched places completely, and haven't recurred in the same place, what can I assume is going on?
