I have really bad pain on the left side of my face, primarily in the region between by eye and nose, the side of my nose and the cheek area right under my eye. When I press on any of these areas or when I swallow it makes a really loud clicking sound that even people can hear when they are sitting next to me.

I'm really tired and I have no concentration when I have this, it is so painful! The weird thing is I go to school out in the mountains and when I am driving there the sensation gets worse in altitudes or in airplanes. I am also more sensitive to ear pain and my muscles and neck are very achey. It also is temporarily relieved by eating or drinking. I am so lost at what this could be, and would appreciate help because I am only 19 and am suffering! Thanks :)

  • I'm guessing a bad sinus infection. I get this too, right in the center of my left cheek.

  • Yes it sounds like a sinus infection. Please look into wild oregano oil to help you with this. You can get oregano oil in gelcaps at a good healthfood store - find one that has a high percentage of cavrocal(sp), at least 200mg, and take at least 3-6 per day. Or, get antibiotics. But keep in mind that antibiotics don't always work for sinus infections and can make things worse if the infection is fungal in nature. This is just my experience. If you take antibiotics, you can also take the oregano oil (just 2 hours apart from the meds) and you should also take a PROBIOTIC. I have been able to get rid of severe sinus infections by using acupuncture and Chinese herbs, oil of oregano, and also essential oils of eucalyptus, rosemary, ravensara, and cinnamon. Best wishesDOM

  • It sounds like a sinus infection, so they will probably want to do at head CT to find out. I had similar pain to yours and was diagnosed with migraines. I also had a lot of fatigue and then eventually got diagnosed with something rare called hashimoto's encephalopathy which can cause bad migraines and fatigue.best wishes!
