I have been going to the doctors for months!! Tried physical Therapy and a Chioroprator. Nothing works. It all started last June. I felt a strange "Tingle" in my lower right back at the bottom of my rib cage. Eventually it got worse and began to feel like an small elecetric shock or somebody just grabbed me suddenly in the same spot. At times the pain gravatates to my right shoulder. In the last couple months this wierd sensation goes on all day long, in spurts. There seems to be no trigger. I could be standing there talking to someone and all of a sudden Wow..:( It just hits me and I become uncofortable. It lasts a few seconds and then will go away, but I know that I am just waiting for the next time it will happen.. Has anyone out there ever felt anything like this?? I don't know where to turn for help anymore.. Any information would be so appreciated!!:)

  • It sounds like nerve pain.....which is difficult to treat. First of all u need a MRI scan done to see if a nerve is trapped or a problem with ur spine. Also try accupunture it is very helpfull. Have u ever had an accident like a whiplash injury or a fall even if it was years back ? old injurys come back to haunt u ? Regards :)

I agree that you should check gallbladder function. Do you have any nausea? Any other symptoms? ARe you taking any meds? Best wishesDOM

  • I think you might be having flank pain and maybe passing some small stone or gravel from the right kidney. Pain can radiate up your back also. Have you had a KUB xray lately? Drink lots (LOTS) of water.

There is no trigger activity and like you the pain comes on randomly and can last anything from a second to hours/ days. doctors have told me its not muscular or nuerlogical and have ruled out anything life threatening or serious how often do you get pain?? is localised to a particualr area??? does the pain move around?? how long have u had it?? wot test have u had?
