Ok ive had a cough since about January. It started after quite a bad cold and it won't go away!
I have a runny nose (but no other flu/cold like symptoms), a kind of tickly feeling at the back of my throat and the feeling that something is running down it all the time causing me to have to swallow a lot.
I went to my doctor who first thought I had asthma but salbutomol didn't relieve it. Then he gave me antibiotics (ciflosporin I think), which did make it a little better but not really. I had a peak flow meter for a week which was normal as well as a normal chest x-ray. He finally gave me oral steroids which made my cough go away but I still had a runny nose, the tickle and swallowing sensation. Ive finished my course of steroids and my cough has come back!! Please help as I have lost all faith in my doctor.
