  • My aunt has something very much like that when she was dx with Meniere's, (among many other things.)Here are some things to think about:1) Are you drinking enough water a day? Drink plenty of it. It is the way your body can flush out bad stuff and lubricate what it has.2) Have you been under a lot of stress lately? (I mean besides the stress and anxiety of not knowing why your body is acting abnormally.) I'm not saying that stress caused this, but it is well known that the more stress you have, the harder it is to recover.3) Are you wearing any type of earplugs regularly? Walkman earbuds, etc? Try to stay away from reusing earplugs, or wear headphones.4)Do you wear anything around your neck? Is it tight? Keep things around your neck as loose as possible, because the smallest thing like wearing a tight necklace can make you dizzy when getting up. 5) THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU COULD DO....Do your research into MSG and see if your diet should be modified. When my aunt was diagnosed with Meniere's she was told to restrict her salt intake. What we didn't realize for the longest time was just how how badly corporate interest had dug into government agencies. I beg you to do your own research, and I'm not trying to peddle off some "all natural" pill to you, or be some crazy whack job conspiracy theorist. You can check out this website, and others as well:http://www.truthinlabeling.org/After my Aunt and I were aware that MSG is very dangerous, (they're using it as a pesticide to kill off both insects AND fungus!) and were made aware that MSG also goes under 30+ other names (because of the bad PR that MSG has,) She made the conscious deciscion to dramatically change her diet and lifestyle. At first, she had to slowly ween down the MSG, (because you feel like crap if you stop it all at once.) Yet, after a few weeks she gradually improved. Now, she has been free of Meniere's symptoms for about 2 years. (She's not perfectly healthy, and still, in times of extreme stress is predisposed to having an occasional attack. And she can not eat out without reaping the effects later...)I just urge you to do your own research, and I hope I have been able to help you in some way. I would advise you to keep going to the doctor, and get all the tests your doctor recommends. If he or she is still stumped, or you get a diagnosis like Meniere's that has no known medical cure, I hope that you look into my suggestions. I know that it really empowered my Aunt to finally understand the triggers of her disease, and was able to be pro-active about it. Anyway, hope this helps!-Jeannie

I don't know if this will help, but it's worth a shot... I have the exact same symptoms happen to me. I just have a lot of other symptoms also. I had a ct come out normal, but I had abnormalities found on an eeg. My doctors told me that I will most likely need an MRI. You might want to check out the possibilities of getting one... maybe ask your doc first or something. Good luck... and just wondering if you have had any other symptoms...

  • it took doctors, neurologist and cartiologist over 13 years to tell me why i have those same problems. last time i pasted out and cracked my head at work an ER intern told me about orthostatic hypotension. blood pressure test, tilt-table test and bam, that's all it is. now i'm on aspirn, potassium supplements, florticotizine, and running through the pain of making them find out why i have it.good luck to you all

  • Oh my god I can't believe that someone else is having the same systoms that I have had. I have been off work since Sept of this year because of them. I have had an MRI and eng and several nero tests for MS. I had to go off the meds that my internest put me on which are Cymbalta for depression since this keeps going on and on and I am on Celebrex for arthrits for the ENT and my systoms changed. I had tingling from the middle of my back up to the top of my head.Once I went back on the meds the tinging went away. My blood pressure is with in normal limits, I get dizzy and light headed and have been falling. I have had to use a cane off and on due to balance being off. All the tests have been within normal limits.I have lost 40 lbs I sweat alot too. One doctor told me I have an anxienty disorder and the last one has told me it is nerves. So I guess I have a nervous disorder.. I am done going to Doctors.. I know that I have had some stress issures in my life and I was under alot of stress when this started happening. Both Doctors give me tranqualizers to handle the nerves. I have been told to breath in to a paper bag now. Like this is going to take it all away. I do not have anxienty problems, I don't have panic attacks. I told the last doctor that I am not aware of this happening and he said that he knows that. My body is doing this with out my knowledge. Help... I don't know what to believe anymore....

  • Two months ago I started to get dizzy. The dizziness came one day and didn't go away, it was there day and nigh. I also got blurred vision some times, at times only in one eye, and, for the first time in my life, I got panic attacks, all completely out of the blue. I had vertigo as well, spinning feelings as if I was drink. I went to see many doctors, an ear-nose-throat specialist, a neurologist...I had all kinds of test and they told me I had an anxiety disorder and needed medication. By mere chance a friend of mine read me an article from the Balance and Dizziness Society of Vancouver (balanceanddizziness.org) that talked about blurred vision, anxiety and dizziness all related to having the first and second vertebrae of the neck out of place.Fortunately for me, I went to see a chiropractor that very day, though I had no hope of recovery because I didn't feel any pain in my neck.I had lots of anxiety and was willing to take the medication just to feel better. I thought I was going crazy. But the chiropractor explained to me that my neck was really out, and that the squishing of the vertebrae was causing the blurred vision in one or both eyes (it was even one of the questions in the questionnaire, "do you experience blurred vision in one or both eyes"), and that the anxiety was caused by the nervous system sending a "fight or flight" signal on it own, on and on, with no external reason. He told me I had a chronic back condition, though I had no back or neck pain, and asked me to give him 10 sessions without taking the medication. Well, I have gone there 3 times and I feel so good, 80% better. I am not dizzy, I have no anxiety, and no blurred vision.Without this chiropractor I would be on meds, thinking I am crazy. Please consider trying a chiropractor, it saved my life! I hope this helps.Venus

    8 Surprising Facts About Cholesterol

Did you know that one in six US adults has high cholesterol?

  • I recently saw an episode of "Mystery Diagnosis" on TV that dealt with this. Other symptoms included headache and that symptoms were worse when body temp went up.I can't remember the diagnosis - but it was something (enzyme?, hormone?) that the body did not produce enough of, and was corrected with medicine. Maybe a google search to find info on that episode? Sorry I don't remember more!

There are quite a few causes of dizziness but if anyone here has symptoms such as Cooper has.. or noticed a rapid heart beat with the issue (which isnt anxiety caused).. check out POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia), I think Cooper has this. With POTS one may find the symptoms are relieved by laying down and by lowering the body temperature (as this allows blood to get better to the head). Tilt table testing or heart rate monitoring at different times in different positions (to note excessive heart rate response when standing after laying) is needed to diagnose this, there is no other tests for POTS. I have POTS and it can make one very dizzy esp when standing and in warm weather. If one has this bad, it will make one actually completely pass out, thou that isnt common. (ive been unconscious up till 5 mins with this). POTS will make ones heart race, (thou i myself are not aware when my heart does that but many POTS sufferers are aware of the racing heart). Most doctors do not know about POTS so getting a diagnoses can be very hard. (It took 10 yrs before I got that diagnosed) The mystery diagnoses on POTS is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN3PB6N6oGY (it also has part 2 and part 3)

  • I was feeling this way all day yesturday, and when I woke up today. I felt dizzy and a little off balance. I was having this problem for a few years every summer, and I went to a doctor, and had all these test done from my heart, to blood work, and they could not find anything that was wrong with me. However, I found the answer! It was my allergies. It's so funny how all these doctors coud not figure that out. I always had mild allergies like a post nasal drip, and runny nose sometimes, but I did not know it was making me dizzy! I got some allergy medison and it helped a lot. So I remembered that this morning and took some Clariton D, and I feel much better. So take a Clariton D, not plain clarition it has to be Clariton D. That should solve your problem, if it works post it here so you can help others out!
