For the past 5-6 months I have been dealing with the following symptoms:
heartburn
sore / scratchy throat
pain & or pressure in the right chest/scapula (just right of midline) like big
gas bubble
frequent belching to feeling like need to belch but can't
occassional waves of nausea
discomforts are not food specific and are generally worse in late afternoon to evening. Sleeping at night actually helps the discomforts. have been on three perscription meds for acid plus variou over the counter stuff with only a little relief. Help what is wrong with me and how can I feel better?

Help what is wrong with me and how can I feel better? Have you had a chest x-ray? How's your blood pressure?Age?Do you have your gallbladder? I would have thought acid reflux too, but the meds should have helped. I am no doctor, but I've been exposed to a lot of bad ones where I live. You have to get to the right one. I've had similar symptoms about the same period of time, I'm 45 female. Suddenly I gained 12 lbs in two weeks, started swelling a couple of days ago. Hands and ankles w/ rt shoulder pain, neck tention. occasional achey muscles all over. pain in thumb joint for 2 mos. swollen gland (dr said) small spot on tongue, like a pizza burn w/o the pain. Got blood drawn yesterday, they missed the lab, no results yet. He was looking at Hypothyroidism and kidney function. Find a doctor who will draw and test your blood for comprehensive plus thyroid. This will likely show something, if it;s not just acid reflux or a heital hernea (not certain of spelling) Don't delay. Get blood workup. ---Everyone should do it at least once every year, if nothing more than to check cholesterol, liver and hemoglobin counts, etc. AF

  • Have you thrown up a lot recently? After a period of time when I had been throwing up a lot, my symptoms were nearly identical.

  • My symptoms were similar and why I first saw my doctor. I'm sure your blood sugar has been checked, mine was too. It was normal for months, and then it jumped beyond the normal. My gallbladder scan was normal. I was eventually diagnosed with diabetes. My digestive problems, bloating, gas pains, belching, nausea, and constipation were the result of gastroparesis, which is slow digestion. Gastroparesis is usually a result of long term diabetes, which I have not had diabetes for years. Anyone can have a slow digestive tract. Zelnorm helped me with that.

  • Get a HIDA scan. This will scan your gallbladder to see if you need it removed.A Hietal hernia will casue the heartburn, IBS for other symptoms. But I felt 90% better when they removed my gallbladder.
