I am a 18 year old male athlete. I have been having severe abdominal pain in the high middle and low middle. Some of my other symptoms are hand tremors, cold intolerance, diarrhea, blood pressure can be high or low, and a slightly high heart rate(high 70's usually). I have seen an endocrinologist and gastro dr's and neither seem to have any answers. What could this be?

  • no they havent.... also i have a tracheal stenosis that the dr.'s dont know why but most dr.'s think these symptoms are not connected. Also the pain is always really bad in the morning and gradually gets better

  • It sounds like something is going on with the gastrointestinal system. If you have an infection, that causes an increase heart rate, cold intolerance, and shakiness. It may also be an undiagnosed gastrointestinal disorder. I suggest asking your physician for a referral to a specialist. In addition, even though you are young you should ask about H.Pylori. My daughter felt ill in her stomach for weeks, hot and cold, before they put her on antibiotics.Good Luck

  • i have been seen by a gastro dr. and an endocrinologist... both are stumped. They did have me on an antibiotic to get rid of bacteria in my intestines for 3 weeks before. I did feel better durring that but that was a while ago

  • I also have tracheal stenosis (since 2007) and have been going to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. They believe that my issues are related to the tracheal stenosis in some fashion and have been testing me for autoimmune diseases. Most recently Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, which causes sensitivity to cold and other symptoms that you might want to look into. I hope this helps!
