I have a spasm that is just under my left breast it feels like a muscle. Its across my rib and i need help as to what it might be. This first happened to me about 5 years ago when i had dropped something behind the washing machine and i sat up on top of the washing machine and reached sideways down behind it, I had this spasm that makes it very hard to breath and almost paralizes me it gets really hard and raises at the site so I layed flat on the floor and tryed to relax although the pain was excrushiating and it eventualy let go. the next day it is very sore to the touch. But now it seems to happen if I just slouch and im afraid there may be something more to this than just a spasm. Please help me I have no insurance and I need to take care of my children

  • I get that, too, and it seems to come depending on how I move my body. I had tests run and it was deemed to be in the muscle and nothing else. You should try getting it when you are driving with all the kids in the car. Well, I have learned to "de-spasm" it by immediately moving into an opposite direction and taking deep breaths. I think it's just part of the body structure that we are born with. I first got it in Yoga class and thought I'd pass out; needless to say, I don't do yoga. You can get some homeopathic spasm preparations for emergencies. Be sure and get a mammogram when you can, since it is under your breast. You need to make sure it's not coming from there.

  • something being pinched somewhere???? maybe think about seeing a chiropractor. Ive found chiropractor to be good for all kinds of things. I know when my back went real badly and I was getting major spasms (screaming, paralysing spasms).. the physio was going to work with me to teach me how to deal with the spasms better. Maybe a physio could help you..
