This is my first time posting about my health issues but I am now at a point where I will turn anywhere for help. As I have been seeing doctors for over a year and a half and have come no close to any answers I may miss something here or there in terms of things that have been ruled out. Please don’t hesitate to ask. Sorry for the length
Ok so last year in august I started getting a cough that was a deep cough that comes from my chest and would start and I would be unable to stop it for prolonged periods of times. It would get so bad that I would start to vomit. This is a dry cough. At first it wasn’t frequent and thought of it as an annoyance that would go away. In October I got a very bad cold that exaggerated the cough and also caused voice loss which was thought to be due to the cough. I was diagnosed with bronchitis due to x rays that should it in my lungs. I got so bad at times that I was on two in halers because I would have difficulty breathing.
Once the bronchitis went away I still had the bad cough and voice loss. My Doctors treated me heavily for the cough and were able to help it from happening but not get rid of right away. I even stopped talking for three weeks to see if voice loss would improve.
Around March I started having low grade fevers every couple of days 99 -101 degrees. I also started being nausea daily and having frequent diarrhea. I also started becoming frequently exhausted. During this time I also started losing weight and have lost a total of 25 lbs. I also just always have a generalized feeling of feeling sick.
None of my symptoms have improved and doctors are at a loss. I have had my vocal cords checked they are normal, I have had cancer ruled out, I do have hashimotos thyroiditis which was diagnosed during all of this but is being treated and I am told by all my doctors whom I feel are very good that this I not the cause of my illness. I do have a small thyroid nodule that has been sized and tested and is not effecting any of my nerves. I don’t have any acid reflux and have had several tests in regards to my gall bladder and bowels all which have come back normal.
I have good doctors who have been working on my case and trying hard to get me a diagnosis. However they are all stumped. I am hoping that someone may have some ideas that could help me get better as this has been greatly affecting my quality of life
