I have severe anemia-8.3 and know no reason for it. I also have a buffalo hump and have gained almost 50lbs in 3 months since 3 spinal injections for back pain. I am frustrated about these symptoms and cant get anyone to listen and diagnose me my dr says the anemia is from heavy periods-yet that is not my problem in fact shortened ones and lighter for about 3 years now, extreme tiredness especially in AM not so much in evening/nighttime, skin is easy to bruise, much thinner, my hair and fingernails grow at a faster pace then ever before and I crave chicken I am not a big meat eater at all. I get headeaches, dizziness, leg cramps and major back pain. I saw one dr who checked the cortison level in a morning urinalysis which came back ok-I still have these other symptoms-please help me I have to find out whats going on.any advise is appreciated and helpful-I am desperate for someone to figure this out.

  • Hi, Elevated cortisol levels are very hard to catch and most people need to retest and retest both am/pm blood, and 24 hour urine many times before they catch a high. Cushings can be cyclic and that is the reason. You should join www.cushings-help.com. They have a great forum there with alot of knowledge all in one place! :)
