Alright, this has been going on for 5+ years now. Some info about me, 19 years old, weigh 128 pounds, i'm 5'8". I've been having random fatigue for years, I can wake up after 8-10 hours of sleep...and go right back to sleep within an hour of getting up. I randomly get fatigue through out the day...then a random burst of energy for 10-20 minutes...then i'm back to dragging through the day. I have extremely cold hands and feet, depression and anxiety (Do take meds for depression at the moment, 20mgs of prozac once a day). The prozac only seems to hide the depression...I still get depressed at night, I have trouble falling asleep at night, as in it will take 1-2 hours to all asleep. But during the day I can fall asleep within 10 minutes. I've had blood test, everything was normal. This is just starting to get annoying as I need a job, but there is no way I can work with the constant fatigue etc. Oh ya forgot...just got "diagnosed" with ADD ( seems everyone has that these days...)

Thanks for any help! :D
Matt

P.S, sorry about any typos had to write this quick.

Take a sleep test to find out if this might be the cause. Sleep apnea can cause fatigue, distraction, irritability, and many otehr symptoms. It can sometime be resolved simply (e.g., removing the tonsils and adenoids), though for others the cause of sleep apnea is difficult to find. Good luck!

Hmm, I think I had dealt with something similar to the sleep bit a few months back... I'm not quite sure what fixed it but I'm sure you giving it a try might not hurt if your not already doing it! Try eating different. I'm 18 5"9 and 150 lbs. I found that during a period I was hospitalized for a month, where all my meals were I guess regulated I was feeling allot better. Pre-hospitalization: Felt like I had to drag myself through the day to do the smallest of tasks. Wasn't necessarily tired, but exhausted, fatigued. Sleeping was an escape from the feeling. The only time I seemed not to be heavily affected by it was at night and I found myself often depressed around night as well. I spent maybe an hour running at 3:30 in the morning because it was the only time of day I could feel I wasn't dragging around a 300 pound weight on my back. After coming out of the hospital with regulated sleep time and food, I seemed better. I wasn't eating unhealthy before, but obviously something was missing weather it be just regulation or some vitamin or whatever. The first few night in the hospital were ***l because regardless I wanted to sleep through the day I couldn't, and no matter how much I wanted to take advantage of the night, I couldn't. Good luck finding your solution.

  • You could be suffering from a sleep disorder. The symptoms you mentioned indicate that you might have a sleep disorder. Get yourself checked. You may be afflicted with Insomnia or sleep apnea. Doctors would be able to tell you better after a medical examination. I recommend the Riverview Medical center’s sleep center in NJ. They have expert doctors on staff. They may keep you for an evening to monitor you. The test results do not take too long. Alternatively, you could let them monitor you through your family doctor. Keep well.

  • The cold hands and feet may indicate a circulation problem. Perhaps it could be some type of anemia http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/a/anemia/symptoms.htm
