I have sever anxiety and I have been put on many different medications to control it. Now I have been having frequent diarreha. I have to stop every 15-20 to go. My life seems ruined. I can not travel in a car with anyone in fear that I might have (as I like to call them) "a spell." Once I get somewhere I am familiar with, the feeling goes away, but when I am in an uncomfortable environment I feel the need to go. I usually go anywhere from 3-10 times a day. The crazy thing is, I am gaining weight. My doctor took me off of my anxitey meds because she said that they cause diarreah. My anxitey is getting worse as well. She thinks that the anxiety is causing these "spells" but I think it may be something more. Am I crazy or is there something wrong. How do I handle the "spells"? Please help

  • Have you seen a GI doctor? He could very well diagnose you with IBS. Overractive colon, is a simple way to describe it. Stress is a main factor in disturbing this disease. And you may not be gaining weight, you may just be bloated.
