Help!!! Painful Bowel Movements!

I'm having some trouble with bowel movements and can't seem to find anything here that matches up with my problems. I thought it could be IBS but the symptoms just don't match. I'm hoping someone here may know! If I can at least be pointed in the right direction it would be a big help!
My problems are that I'm actually "normal" most of the time, but there are days (maybe 5 or 6 days a month) that I have terrible and very frequent bowel movements. They are not constipation or diarrhea, they look like normal bowel movements, but I am going 5-9 times in a day!

The symptoms are:
Abdominal pain
Lower back pain
Hot flashes
Contractions in my stomach muscles (I'm female, but not pregnant)
Fuzzy vision around the edges
Feeling like I need to throw up

It is very strange and painful, and it is driving me crazy! I feel like my body is evacuating everything in my system... Like if I don't go to the bathroom I will instead vomit. (One way or another it's coming out!) Also, when I "think" I'm done I still have to sit there and wait, because it will reoccur in about 4-5 minutes. I honestly feel completely empty, but it starts all over again! Then I am ok for a few hours until another painful bowl movement. Does anyone know what this is?? I have looked all over, and can't find anything like this. This is really disruptive to my life; I never know when this will hit me. I'm very young, only 24. I would really appreciate any and all input!
~Thank you~

  • Look into food intolerances causing this, and find a NAET practitioner near you who can help with this. have you had any testing done? The first test should be a complete stool culture test for candida, giardia, parasites, c dif, and other. Any ct or ultrasounds? I would check for ovarian cysts and gallbladder issues as well. Do you have your problems related to your menstrual cycle? This is not unusual, and hormones can play a role. NAET can also help with this. Visit www.naet.com to find info on this noninvasive, effective form of treatment and to find a practitioner near you. Best wishesDOM

  • Thank you! I will look into all of this! I don't have any problems with my menstrual cycle at all. I'm "normal" in every other regard. That is why I am so confused about this problem. I only have one food allergy that I know of and it is sweet potatoes (weird food allergy, I know) But that is the only thing I'm allergic to that I know of. I haven't seen a DR about this yet. It was very rarely that this would happen, but the last 2 years it has been happening more and more often. Now it is a few time a month. I have had two children and my last child was c-section... I don't know if that would make a difference or not. Thank you for all your help!
