Okay, new to this website. So here goes

A little background. I'm in the military. I 23 I'm not over weight I weigh 180 and I'm 6 11. I very active but I don't ru n a lot maybe like 3-6 miles a week.

As long as I could remember I've had these stretch mark looking things on both inner thighs near my crotch. I haven't paid them no mind because they generally didn't bother me. Well today I was drying myself off in the mirror and I noticed that in fact one of them had torn open. Now it's a small tear compared to the entire stretch mArk. Maybe like 1/2 in long. But it's concerning because no blood came out and it doesn't hurt or anything.

What I'm concerned about is. What are these stretch marks? Why are they there? I assumed they were there because I was active and it was just the skin rubbing together. When I touch the stretch marks you can clearly feel how thin the skin is and it kinda indents into my leg. I haven't been scared about this stuff until now and I'm worried that I may have waited too long.

Should I go see the doctor? I realize its hard to diagnose something via a forum. But can anyone please point me in the right direction? I don't want to embarrass myself and go to the doctor if I don't have to.

I appreciate any and all feedback please.
