Hi All,

I am a 32 year old male in good shape and who tries to look after himself. I have multiple symptoms which make my life very difficult. I tend to sweat a lot but not in usual underarm, facial regions but more so down my chest, back and legs. I also get very weak and need time to go outside to cool down. This is difficult since I am a school teacher and I have had to go back to part time because of the issues. I also get a metallic taste in my mouth and some leg pains in the lower regions.

I have had insulin dependant diabetes for 20 years but it is well controlled and i cannot find any correlation between these sysptoms and my blood sugars. Any help would be extremely appreciated. I am quite upset by the symptoms and feel stupid asking doctors since they cannot find anything wrong with me.

  • This is called hyperhidrosis, and yes, diabetes can cause it. Try here: http://www.ccjm.org/pdffiles/Stolman1003.pdf
