My two year old daughter has been having "episodes" for a little over a year now. She wakes up but makes no noise, which is odd if any of you have a toddler you know. She is out of it. Here eyes are glazed over and she is a ragdoll. Her hands are purple and also sometimes her lips, bags under her eyes. This lasts from any where from 15 minutes to an hour and a half. She then vomits and the symptoms dramatically disappear. She has been to the doctor and they have ran neurological tests. They say there is nothing they can do. I just want to know what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hello, I'm sorry that you are not getting anywhere with your physician. It can be very frustrating sometimes! I am an RN and it definately sounds like some type of seizure disorder that your child is experiencing. Try looking up information on "Complex Partial Seizures (also called psychomotor or temporal lobe seizures)" and see if the symptoms match what your child is experiencing. In any event, be persistant with your physician, and if he/she continues to brush you off, perhaps you should look into changing pediatricians. Even if a condition is not serious, your MD should be willing and able to provide you baseline information on it to help ease your fears. :)
