My father-in-law is suffering yet he cannot get diagnosed with anything solid. He was tested for everything under the sun and he is in pain all the time. Well his story starts a couple of years ago when he had a tumor erupt in his intestines and he was sent to the ER. He had a colostomy bag. He had that in for a couple of months he then went and had another surgery to get it out. He had complications on that one then he ended up getting a hernia, he got a patch put on and it came back. They have not been able to fix the other hernia because his blood is showing that he is inflamed and has an infection and they do not know where it is. He is also having wounds that will not heal and in the past 2 years he is steadily going down hill. He is now walking hunched over with a cane and loss the use of his right arm caused from a mini stroke, he also has congestive heart failure but it seems everything spiraled out of control since then and what I am looking for is some help to find out what he has because the doctors have not been able to come to anything so any suggestions to bring up to the doctor would be greatly appreciated because if they can't treat him soon he is going to die.

  • OK, this is a long shot, but I had a friend who went through something that sounds a lot like this, and it turned out a surgeon had left something inside! She had a new surgery to remove this thing, and her whole life turned around. It was in her for something like two years. And her health just kept getting worse. And, yes, they are suing the surgeon. And, yes, they didn't get the original surgeon to admit this was a possibility. You need to raise the possibility with another doctor, and have your FIL scanned for it.It's random. But when things are going downhill fast, looking for something feels better than just watching. I know. Been there. But it is surprising how similar my friend's symptoms were to your FIL's.Let me know what happens.Shula
