i had been playing soccer for about three years in middle school. im now in high school. when i was in 8th grade, i had torn the cartaledge in my left knee. the symptoms were swellin, jolting pain around the patella, a crunching feeling when i bend and it pops frequently. the doctor put me on ibprofin, and on crutches .
well now its two years later, and im feeling extreme pain in that same knee and it swells double the size once in awhile. sometimes theres bruises,, and i have had a kneebrace on when i work out. i try not to do anything to make it worse. im thinking its osteoarthritis, but im not sure.
well after a couple of pt sessions with my knee brace, my other knee was starting to hurt, but it wasnt swelling. im thinking i might not have much cartaledge in my right knee because it swells alot. even after RICE(rest, ice, compression, elevation). anyone know whats wrong? its really making me mad because i havent been able to run as fast as i used to.
oh and ive also had pain in my hips and lower back. please help i need to know whats wrong.
