About 3 weeks ago I started feeling extremely tired. On Friday I called in a vacation day and slept until 3:30. That night I went out to dinner with a neighbor, my husband and kids. Upon returning home I laid down in the bed and suddenly was unable to move or talk. My husband called 911 and I was rushed to the hospital. At the hospital they performed a CAT scan (which showed nothing), a MRI of the brain (which also showed nothing), lung x-ray (also nothing) and a bunch of blood test. I was released on Sunday with the understanding I would take an asprin a day and see my primary care doctor on Monday. The condition lasted until about 1 am, but left me with a numb leg and arm (left side) and twitching throughout my body. During my stay in the hospital they did say that my pulse was low - 49 to 52.
Monday I went to see my doctor, she performed more blood test, and set me up for a cat scan of my arteries in my neck and my heart. Once again nothing was found. She then sent me to a neurologist who said that none of my symptons are making any sense, but let's run a few test.
Yesterday I had a EMG. No perm. damage to my muscles or nerves. Tommorrow I have to get a MRI of my spine.
I have not worked as I don't feel comfortable driving and my doctor is afraid I will have another spell.
I had graves disease about 15 years ago and had radioactive iodine. They checked my thyroid levels and they are fine. This is really getting old! Any help would be appreciated.
