i havnt got anyone to reply to me yet on these forums, this is my last attempt,
i havent had a bowel movement in 3 days now, i have forced myself to go 2 times today, there was a lot of struggle and a little satifaction, the first time it felt as if there was one large turd, but the second time iwas only left with a couple of realy realy tiny thin peices, could this be something other than constipation? i dont think so but, i dont realy know. i am almsot 18 years old and i have a bad anxiety problem, this is something that is being worked on. this is not me jsut being a worrie wort, i seriously havnt felt like i had to deficate in 3 days going on 4. WHAT CAN I DO!? i still like to eat, and i eat a lot, could i be burning a lot of it up? i dont think so. i have eater a 1lbs burger,a thickburger with fries at hardies, a couple peanut butter sandwhiches, a slice of pizza, and well, none of it has come out yet. why?

  • I think it is just constipation look long and hard at your diet. Just look what you listed no wonder you are constipated eat some fruit and veg on a regular basis and it will sort it's self out for the future. But if you still haven't been buy some tinned prunes or syrup of figs from the chemist. Eat the whole tin of prunes or the directed dose of syrup of figs you will soon go but it may be painful as it's been so long. Drink more water. Hope this helps Jackie

  • The best thing I found for constipation is Prune Juice, pich some up at the drug store and have a tall glass.

  • I've found it's hard to find a 20-ish person without bowel problems. It's your diet. You need to stop eating Taco Bell and McD's and fix some broccoli and greens or some other kind of roughage. Also excerising helps. Take a walk on a regular basis. Get moving and get your blood flowing you'll soon have your intestines happy. Also try some acidopholis milk or that new Activia yogurt or take acidolpholis pills that will help bring balance to your bateria in your intestines.

  • Hi there, you sound really worried. The advice about getting more fruit and veggies is good. They have nutrients that will help keep you regular, control your weight and may also help with your anxiety problems too. Sometimes a small shortage of some vitamin or mineral can have a huge effect on functioning.I hope you get some of the prunes, some multi vitamins and minerals and start feeling better soon. And, not everyone 'goes' everyday - some folk only go a couple of times a week - depends on diet and exercise levels etc

  • You need to stay away from cheese and dairy products. they constipate! Try drinking an 8oz glass of fruit juice (I prefer Ocean Spray Cran-grape). It usually helps me go by the next morning. Also, try to get whole grains into your diet - granola bars and whole grain breads are good for constipation. Fresh fruits and veggies will work wonders for your colon. I know you are 18, but since the junkfood is taking a toll on your body you might want to ease up on it for a while. Good luck!

  • I have went 2 weeks before and I am A 28 woman if you are a female get used to it it comes with it however it is not any fun the best thing I do is milk of magnisum or magnisum citrate(it is found in the laxative section and is either cherry or lime ) get the lime as cold as you can and within 2-6 hours it will clean you out so be close to a bathroom then talk to your doctor if the symtoms return.

  • Please see a DR. I had the same problem, when i finally did see a Dr. I found out i had stage 4 Colon Cancer, I am now being treated, but I have a colostomy now and maybe if I went to the Dr. sooner I could have avoided it.
