im so confused. my son has has several bouts of fatigue, along with head and back aches. just thought he wasnt taking care of himself, running around all the time and working. so about a month ago he starts having this again. head, back, and neck ache, along with fatigue. thought nothing of it. a week later, he isnt any better, and he is running a fever. took him to doc, said ear infection. gave him zithromax. a week later, nothing has changed. still all the body aches and pain, with fever and severe fatigue. hes not eating well, kinda nausous, looks sick. took him back to doc, do blood work, nothing. give him augmention. still no change. by now, this throat is severly soar along with both ears. fever stopped after 10 days, but everything else is still here. took him to another doc, do bloodwork, check for mono, lyme, cat scratch, all neg. they did find that his liver and spleen were enlarged and tender to the touch, he had bilirubine in his urine, and elevated liver enzymes. he also has enlarged lymphnodes in neck, arm pits, and groin. doxycyclene this time, al tests were neg, and dox did nothing. back to first doc, did more blood, still nothing. ct scan showed no mass in his throat, checking for lymphoma, still dont know. i was floored to find out he tested positive for hep c. now were freekin out. he is still not any better. his throat is so soar he cant even tlk, he drools in a cup. been eating 800mg motrin for over 2 weeks now. its been a month that hes been sick. hes being referred to a hospital on tues for the hep c. went to and ent yday, the did blood and said it was mono. doc today said no, it cant b, cuz he tested negitive for epsteinbarr virus and cytomegalic virus. apperantly if you have mono, you have one of these virus's. can any one help me. i have so much more to say, his ldh is high, something about tissue distruction, im aftaid hes gonna die before we get him to the hospital. is it mono, lymphoma, hep c? the doc told me his liver is being damaged as we speek, hes 16, i thought you had to have hepc a long time before it caused liver damage. i dont know what to do. can anyone help?????Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
