Help!!!
For years I have had the worst miserys in the summer and winter if the house is too hot. I am absolutly miserable in the heat and if I get the least little bit too hot, my skin feels like there are boards of needles being stuck into it!!! I also turn very white even though I don't feel weak or dizzy. I do not have any redness or rash from the heat.
Any doctor Ive asked about this refers to antidepressants (why?), and Im not trotting thro the menopause jungle yet. This has been a lifetime thing and I deal with it, but would like to stop it if I could. I work in a factory (airconditioned part praise the Lord!!) and must go whether or not its hot. I hope someone out there has some information. Many thanks.

  • Mr. Spotts:You are the only other person I have ever found that has the same symptoms as me! Everyone thinks I am crazy....I can't be without air conditioning. If I get hot or get out in the sun, I start stinging and hurting, like pins and needles, only worse, and I feel like my body is going to spontaneous combust if I don't get cooled off right away. My doctor has no idea what it is, except that it might be my Thyroid, which I have hypothyroid and take medication for it, but it doesn't help the intolerance to the heat or sun. I can't get out in the summertime or go to the beach or enjoy the sun, except for when there is a strong wind or it is in the fall or early spring when it is still very cool outside. I hope you find some relief.Jane7

I have no thyroid problems and now have started in the summer month and some sunny winter days, breaking out in tiny blisters that will open into red lesions (not sores) I have to use Blue Lizard sunscreen on my face and arms now ever time I go into the sun or I get a rash. I take no medications what so ever so there cant be any reaction. Also my M.D. said that this was not considered "sun poisoning" so just a different reaction. Im not a hyperchondriac and am a nursing student, so what concerns me is the parallels between our symptoms and some symptoms of Lupus. But what ever it is the misery and pain is still there. If you get any new info, please let me know. LIsa
