Hi Pls help to find solution for my problem ...
I am 27 years old .when i was studying 8 th strandard in school i was put in a class room where every body study well .i am a poor perfoming student so i was scared of other students ..i started developing fear and my heart started to palpaltate in fast manner .when i grew up this symptom also accompained me . :o
for past 6 years during morning hours after break fast i palaptate 110 bpm , after several brups(reuptations of gas through mouth) for say 1 hour(approx) , this symptom slows down . 2 years back my mom died due to heart problem (mitral val prolapse) i am in deep fear i may also die because she also reported same palaptations , i checked with doc he said i dont have any heart disease or any but i have high BP 110 - 160 it is the reason . still i feel the same when i palaptate during morning hours ie 8:40 am to 10.40 (during which i get sweat and becomes tensed). i am confused, due to this fear i dint go to job for past 3 years . pls advice me (not so harsh boz already i am afraid ) how to over come my problem ..and also i have one kidney from birth but doc said it will be like that for many people it is of no problem boz they are functionaing properly ...
your views are most appreciated...

  • What you describe can be anxiety or a panic attack, both of which should be diagnosed and possibly treated by a psychologist or psychiatrist. Good luck and stop worrying- that will make it worse.

Some things that can cause panic/anxiety are genetic BH4 deficiency or high protein diet or low magnesium diet (not sure if that list is conclusive). If you have a genetic BH4 deficiency (like me) you need to eat a low protein diet, otherwise you just need to make sure your diet is not high protein. The urea cycle (biochemistry) needs BH4 and magnesium to eliminate the ammonia byproduct of protein. If you cannot eliminate the ammonia promptly, it will depolarize the NMDA receptors, and the magnesium ion closing them will fall off (and probably get stolen to help the urea cycle get rid of the ammonia), and the NMDA receptor will be open to calcium ion influx which causes panic, swelling, pain, and/or muscle tension that won't relax. Here is a protocol that might help and can't hurt:(1) not high (or maybe low) protein(2) magnesium (try magnesium taurate because it won't give you diarrhea and taurine is calming)(3) to boost BH4: methylfolate(4) to boost BH4: Vitamin C If the above is not enoughavoid foods containing glutamate/glutaminetry an herbal NMDA antagonist like Uncaria Rhynchophylline and/or gingko bilobatry potential methods to lower ammonia such as yucca and charcoal (please be aware that charcoal will remove other minerals besides ammonia from you so if you use it, do so at night long after all your meals so as not to interfere). Neither of these methods of removing ammonia sounds very good to me -- much healthier to just make sure you don't make more than your system can handle. There are drugs that can block NMDA receptors - I don't know which, but they are probably drugs for panic/anxiety. I believe beta blockers for high blood pressure also block the NMDA receptors. If you see a doctor or inquire with a pharmacist or both, you can surely find a drug to fix this...I believe there are many. Please note that if you are deficient in magnesium, you should fix it because magnesium deficiency does affect your heart. If you are not deficient, then a drug makes sense. I won't be back to this topic - it is chance that I clicked here. We talk about glutamate toxicity - a cause of panic - at the Vitamin B12 deficiency topic at WrongDiagnosis.com - join us for B12, methyl cycle, glutamate toxicity discussions if you like.
