for three months now i have this constant headache. it's very dull but then sometimes i feel like i have a vise around my head and it's slowly pressing. alot of the time i feel unstable. kinda dizzy almost. i just feel like my vision is 'wobbling'. once and while it will all be accompanied by neck and muscle pain. i also find myself having trouble concentrating sometimes and now i can be on the computer for long period of time or my headache gets worse.

i went to my doctor three months ago when it first onset and she told me i needed glasses and had alergies. which i do not have alergies after being put on medicine that did nothing.

i have an eye exame this week.

i went back and they ordered a cat scan which came by clear. and i also had a ton of blood work done.

i went back for anxiety symptoms. being sick was making me a nervous wreck. i'm on ativan for the panic attacks.

my next thoughts would be that i have vertigo, or diabetes/hypoglicemia.

any advice or input? i just want to feel normal again.
this is affecting my everyday life, i'm afraid to go to work or even go out with friends.

I would suggest not taking the ativan as that can make you dizzy/weak. You might be dehydrated and not getting enough iron in your diet. Have your MD run a general bloodwork test (liver functions, blood count, iron etc) I have glasses and watching tv, reading, going online often does make me get a headache. I have a history of migraines so I try to limit my time doing these activities. I don't think you have diabetes, but the hypoglicemia could be a possibility. This could be checked by a blood test. I hope any of this info helps.

The symptoms you are talking about are similar to mine. Ask your doctor about it, research it, get in to see a nureologist. I do hope that is not what is going on with you,but it sure sounds like it. I think you will find some answers researching it. Even this site has some information on it. If I can help you in any way let me knowAmandaD

  • I've been having the exact same symptoms after I went skydiving. Dizzy, but not spinning. Felt like my head was swimming when turning it, or moving in any direction for that matter. One of my ears felt full and when I yawned or moved my jaw, I had a crackling sound in my ear. The pressure on my head was unbelievable. I just wanted to sleep all day and even walking felt strange, like I was in a fun house the floor kept shifting, or I was walking with moon boots on. I went to a primary doctor who thought it might be an ear infection, ENT who prescribed me Meclazine (do not take that, you will be in a fog and just constantly sleep, and it only made my dizziness worse). I was so frustrated and was referred to vestibular (inner ear) therapy by my ENT. After the ENT did a bunch of tests, it turned out that the problem was coming from my neck. The pressure by my C1 vertebra is unreal. So after all the tests, blood work, urine tests, EKGs, it was my neck. I highly recommend seeing a PT
