Hi, I'm currently a 15 year old female and about to enter my sophomore year of high school. Since about the 7th grade I've been suffering from headaches that never seem to go away. They seem to worsen when I read, but I already have glasses for near-sightedness along with a slight astigmatism. I've been to multiple neurologists and have gotten MRI's and CT scans that all come back normal. With the workload of high school, I can't risk having headaches that make me not able to do my work. My neurologist prescribed me to medication called topiramate which is a seizure medicine, but it also said to help headaches. Some other symptoms that I've noticed I had are stomach pains, like cramps, I went to the ER one night because they got so bad, I'm sensitive to both light and sound, yet my doctor already ruled out migraines, sometimes I have missed periods along with my breasts occasionally hurting, so I'm thinking it could be hormone related? I've gotten blood work done as well, like thyroid and vitamin deficiency, at one point my doctor saw that I was anemic but after taking iron supplements it was cured. Right now, I don't know what to do, so any feedback would help. Thank you!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
