I am a 21 year old female, in Ontario.
I have had a headache for 8 days straight, I have tried everything! Allergy medications, tylonol 2, migraine and regular, advil regular, cold& sinus, liquid jel migraine, motrin.. Nothing seems to help at all :(
The pain is always there.. Dull at times and lasts all day, from the moment I open my eyes. It's mostly in the front of my head - my neck hurts - random pain in my arms and armpits.

I dont have any extra ordinary stead other than normal day to day and money due to pneumonia keeping me off work.

I have had pneumonia for about 4 months now, anti biotics havnt cured it yet- waiting for results from last chest xray but still coughing, rib pain ect..

A few years ago I would constantly have swollen lymphnodes in my abdomen and still get them here and there..

I was working in a factory that I was told was the cause of many brutal nosebleeds, I would get a very sharp drop to you knee pain in my head followed directly by nosebleeds that would flow like a hose and last 20+ minutes.. This headache comes with that pain a few times a day but no nosebleeds- it has been about 4 months since I worked in the factory the doctor said was causing the headaches.

2 years ago I was in the hospital due to chest pain - the diagnostic was that blood vessels and the arteries to my heart were closing.. Due to drug use (that has stopped since!) and was prescribed nitroglycerine.. Since been taking off it due the doctor saying there was no damage to my heart and I was fine.. I still get this pain and or fast heartrate from time to time.

I have always had great vision so I do not think my vision becoming bad is effecting this headache- my vision still seems fine.

My mother was diagnosed with a inoperable brain tumor a few years back, that is the only thing I feel would be a factor in why I am so worried... She said that the headache and neck pain for over a week was her first signs of her brain tumour.

Also I think I should add that I have not been eating properly due to no appetite and I never feel thirsty. I have no motivation and was currently prescribed anti depressants that I do not take.

My doctor is kind of lazy and puts things off - can't get me in untill the 26th and doesn't take the time to find out what's wrong.. Mostly gives out bandaids.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Hope I gave enough and the right information for someone to help give me advice!!

  • Hi,Maybe you have blood vessels spasms in your brain, some kind of cerebral vasoconstriction."She said that the headache and neck pain for over a week was her first signs of her brain tumour. " = not at all. There are many conditions which have such indications and symptoms, it's not necessary to be a tumor issue. Actually the probability that you have brain tumor is very low. Although such thing could happen to anybody, believe me, you have much more chances to be killed by a car accident than chances to be killed by brain tumor. Anyway you should check your brain by MRI/CT, and if it is possible, do angiography in case if usual MRI images will be clear.Wish you good health and good luck
