I am hoping someone can help me. I am 39 years old woman and have had a headache that comes on at the same time every night on the right side of my head. It usually subsides in the morning but for the past 2 weeks it has been day and night. I've been diagnosed with both a small aneurysm and pituitary tumor....doctors say neither is the cause of the headache. I have done experiments with stopping all supplements, I don't drink, smoke. Nor do I drink coffee very often if ever. I've also changed my diet to see if that would help though it may not have been long enough. Isn't it odd though that a headache would start the same time every night? I do have a host of other symtoms like blurry vision, nausea, some vomiting. memory loss, confusion, lack of concentration. Right now the left side of my head and right side do not feel the same at all. The right side feels swollen and it hurts to use my eye. Also at night when I sleep if I wake up from sleeping on the right side my head is quite tender. Also, I have these bizarre things growing in my throat by my tonsils...looks like polyps?? As well as my nose will not heal and its been over a year. Any ideas are appreicated.

  • I think you need to see another doctor and get an MRI...the pituitary tumor, form what I read, even a small one can cause a lot of the problems you have mentioned. Look up on pituitary tumors....it can also cause a host of hormonal problems: ovaries, thryoid, adrenals....the fact that your eye hurts might imply something as well...not sure have you seen an eye doctor? In any case I think you deserve answers and you may want to visit a neurologist and get an MRI. Several years ago I had headaches and they lasted about a year and soon after I got Graves Disease...thryoid disease....not sure if there is a connection but perhaps. I also these days get this weird weak, numb tingling like left knee....and it happens at about 5:00 PM ...for a while every day...these days less so but when I do get it, it is at 5 PM...isn't that weird...so I understand the the same time same sympomts things...don't have an answer for that. I got all the symptoms you mentioned with two problems: one was the thryoid problem and the other was perimenopause....also crossed my mind for diabetes.... Get some blood work and MRI...and I guess the best is a good doctor! Joan

  • You may want to visit a dentist. Do you think you may be clenching or grinding your teeth? Clenching and grinding your teeth can cause horrible headaches up the side of your head (your chewing muscles get sore). It may be a secondary issue due to stress.
