40yr old female, smoker 1/2 pack a day. No meds. About 3 months ago, I was experiencing chest pain for about a week. I didnt think of heart, it was more of a heaviness that lingered. It also felt as if it went to my back, between my shoulder blades. I did go to the doc who did a cardio and sent me directly to hosp. They said some of the lines were ragged and is indicitive of heart damage. At the hospital, they said my cardio was fine and did a chest x-ray that looked fine and sent me home. Now the constant chest pain is gone, but the pressue/pain in my back is constant. Since then, I have experienced sporadic chest pains, and have had 2 bouts of vertigo - one when I was waking up, could not move off the bed, the other woke me in the middle of the night, again could not move from bed. Both only lasted about 30-45 seconds. Then, my period this month was for only one day. Has anyone had similar experiences like these? I do have an appt. with my doc next week for a physical, Ill see what he says then.

Sometimes Hormones have a large role to play in our well being and if you are at the very early stages of menopause it may not be typical symptoms.
