I'm a 23 year old male, do not smoke or drink. 5' 8" and weigh 59kgs
I diagnosed myself with an inguinal hernia (which my GP agreed with). Surgeon says it's bilateral and am having it operated on in June. While I was at the GPs office, I told him that around the same time as the hernia down there, I noticed a slight enlargement of my abdomen just right of my left hip bone, above the fold in the skin. My GP said that it was too high for a hernia and that he would book an ultrasound, which hasn't come through yet.
I do get pain there and sometimes is tender to touch.. no discolouration though. Sometimes I look and still wonder if I did see an enlargement there after all, but I can feel all of the gases and "stuff" running through that exact point. I also feel pressure and a dull pain there when I apply pressure when urinating and this happens only on that side.
Anyone think this may be related to the inguinal hernia? My hernia repair is key hole, so maybe the surgeon will notice if theres anything wrong when he's looking round in there but I don't know how much they get to see.
