Well, it appears that I found a group that understands my quest.
I have been dealing with hypersensitivity of my hands since before October of last year...hard edges caused pain when I would grab something such as door handles. The joints where red and I have a rash on my right hand on index finger in the joint. This has since now moved to my left hand which I was simply told was dishwasher dermatitis. The skin on my knuckles is now dry and cracking...nut no wonder it is winter...although I have never had this happen before.
Now for about the same length of time I have had pain in my hands - pain using scissors, writting, typing - just general use of my hands. Some days are good - others are bad. My knuckles are so tender that just a light tap is painful.
The pain is intensitified by cold weather or being in a cold office which I am - they keep it freezing so I am in constant pain.
I also have pain in my feet and legs when it is cold. Pain in my hips as well...
To date I have tested positive for ANA which the RA doc says is most likely a false positive. No other tests have shown any issues such as the torture...I mean nerve condution test. That was clear.
The only other issue found to date is I am low on Vitamin D - my B12 was fine.
Anyone in this boat? In pain all the time, well most of the time and I am being referred to yet another set of docs.
