I am a 20 year old female experiencing hair loss for the past year. It is significantly more in the winter and less in the summer. Also accompanying the hair loss is tingling and prickling on my head, feet, and hands. My dermatologist said it's probably telugen effluvium, but this is the second cycle in which I am losing so much hair by the clumps. Also, some hairs are thinner than others and some even change color and lose color completely. I have seen so many doctors: endocrinologists, dermatologists, neurologists, primary care physician and none have an answer for me. Please help me!!!

  • One suggestion... maybe get your hormone levels checked. If your hormones are off balanced, it may cause the hair loss and possibly the tingling. Also, I'd get your thryoid checked out. It's just a simple blood test to check both. Here's a link that may help you: http://familydoctor.org/081.xml Hope this helps. Let us know how you are doing.God Bless.
