had period way to long to be normal

I had my period for 3 days two days later i got it again and it has not stopped its been 3 weeks now (not to heavy of a flow) my doctor put me on birth control to control the bleeding it has not stopped yet and i'm only 29 yrs old . My doctor said all my test results can back fine but she didn't tell me why this was going on she just said keeping taking the birth control . She also said she doesn't want to see me again for 3 month pretty sure don't want to bleed for 3 month straight does anyone have any idea whats wrong with me????

  • Hi. Please go to another doctor, or better yet, go to the hospital; that is not normal to have a period for a month; it's serious, and you need to have it taken care of as soon as possible. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon. Take care.
