It started about a year ago with just a little bit of mucus here and there. It's gotten progressively worse to the point where its totally out of control. It's not always a lot of mucus at once, but i usually get periods through the day where i hack up every 30 seconds for about a half hour. This happens a few times a day on average.

I don't smoke. I've tried switching to a diet of no milk or refined grains. Not much help. I think maybe it could be from some kind of allergy? I've tried taking all the popular allergy meds for months at a time. Don't know what to do. I'm out of work and couldn't get through a job interview without spitting into napkins the whole time. Please help.

  • Bump. Please help me!I recently had a similar issue, and my doctor told me I had acid reflux, even thogh I did not have ANY other symptoms. She put me on Prilosec for 30 days, with 30 more days if I felt better after the initial 30. I was doubtful, but it worked, and I have all but stopped coughing up mucus.

Maybe i'll try switching to prilosec? It seems like its coming from my sinuses though. I do suffer from acid reflux though.I just saw an allergist who scoped me looking for a sinus infection and didnt really find anything but put me on levaquin for 10 days just incase. That didn't help. Also saw an ent already who didnt really know what to do.I'm pretty lost.
